Technical Level

The Industrial and Domestic Rescue Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to gain access to and extricate entrapped casualty/s from a range of industrial and/or domestic incidents while minimising the potential for further injury and preserving the integrity of evidence.

The Alpine Search Operations Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely perform search operations and apply survival techniques for self and others in an alpine environment as a member of an Alpine Search Team.

The Boat Operator Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to act as a member of a flood boat crew on inland waterways.

To provide participants with the skills and knowledge for the correct and safe operation of the Cell on Wheels (CoW) and be able to confidently deploy and activate the CoW

The aim of the Chainsaw Cross Cut Course is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to trim and cut felled trees with a chainsaw.

To provide learners with the skills and knowledge to safely undertake advanced rescue from vehicle as a member of an flood rescue team.

To provide learners with the skills and knowledge to safely undertake rescue from a vehicle & night operations as a member of an flood rescue team.

To provide learners with the skills and knowledge to safely undertake water based flood rescue operations as a member of an in-water flood rescue team.

To provide learners with the skills and knowledge to perform land-based swiftwater and floodwater rescues and recoveries as a member of a specialist team. 

The Four Wheel Drive Operations Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to undertake 4WD operations.

This High Clearance Vehicle (HCV) Theory Course (Face to Face) is the alternative delivery option to the preferred eLearning method for this course. It provides participants with introductory knowledge required to be a NSW SES HCV Driver.

This High Clearance Vehicle (HCV) Logistics Driver Course provides participants with knowledge and skills required to be a NSW SES HCV Logistic Driver.

This High Clearance Vehicle (HCV) Operational Driver Course provides participants with knowledge and skills required to be a NSW SES HCV Operational Driver (General)
 

The Land Search Operations Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to search for and locate lost persons and/or items as a member of a Land Search Team.

This course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to safely work in proximity to large animals and relocate to a safer location.

This course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to safely work in proximity to large animals, relocate and rescue large animals from typical rescue situations.  

The Map Reading and Navigation Course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to navigate in Category 2 terrain with topographic maps and a handheld compass.

The Participate in Rescue Operation Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to participate in rescue operations as a member of a rescue team, apply general work health and safety requirements, and protect and preserve an incident scene.

The Road Crash Rescue Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively gain access to and extricate entrapped casualty/s from vehicles, while minimising the potential for further injury and preserving the integrity of evidence.

The SSKO Operational Communications Course provides participants with information about the new ways of working on radio.

The SSKO Radio PMR to Public Safety Network provides participants with information about the new ways of working on radio and the differences between using a radio on the PMR network and the GRN/ PSN.

The Storm Ground Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to safely undertake Storm Operations as a member of a response team.

The Storm Heights Course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to safely undertake Storm Operations at heights, as a member of a response team.

This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to discuss and identify what makes an operation technical and the challenges of more technical large animal rescue operations.

The USAR CAT 1 Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to provide safe and effective rescue support to an urban search and rescue (USAR) incident as a member of a first responder rescue team.

The Vertical Rescue Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to undertake Vertical Rescue in a range of emergency situations in natural and manmade environments.
