The AIIMS Principles and Functions Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to apply the principles of the command and control‚ and the structure and processes of AIIMS.

Introduction:

Target Audience:

Members who will be undertaking functional roles in an Incident Management Team.

Learning Outcomes:

  • VU23311 – Prepare to work within the Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System

Content:

  • Purpose, principles and key concepts underpinning AIIMS
  • Scope and responsibilities of the AIIMS functions
  • Implementation of an Incident Action Plan
  • Role of incident personnel in communicating critical information

Learning Methods and Duration:

Mandatory eLearning is to be completed before face-to-face training. The Multiple-Choice Theory Questions and the Case Study assessment, either online or paper based, can be completed prior to the face-to-face workshop. It is preferred that the Multiple-Choice Theory Questions be completed using the self-marking online assessment prior to attending the face-to-face workshop.
