The AIIMS Principles and Functions Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to apply the principles of the command and control‚ and the structure and processes of AIIMS.

Introduction:

Target Audience:

Members who will be undertaking functional roles in an Incident Management Team.

Learning Outcomes:

  • VU23311 – Prepare to work within the Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System

Content:

  • Purpose, principles and key concepts underpinning AIIMS
  • Scope and responsibilities of the AIIMS functions
  • Implementation of an Incident Action Plan
  • Role of incident personnel in communicating critical information

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course includes eLearning, face-to-face training and two (2) Theory Assessments (Theory and Case Study related questions).
The eLearning must be completed before attending the face-face training.
The Theory Questions are available online or paper based but must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face course.

Face-to-face course duration: 4hours 30 minutes
eLearning duration: approx. 4 hours
Assessment time: approx. 3 hours 30 minutes
