This course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to safely work in proximity to large animals, relocate and rescue large animals from typical rescue situations.

Members of General Land Rescue (GLR) accredited units.

  • Topic 1 – Review Large Animal Awareness
  • Topic 2 – Relocating Large Animals
  • Topic 3 – Plan to Rescue Large Animals
  • Topic 4 – Rescue Techniques: Skidding
  • Topic 5 – Rescue Techniques: Rolling

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course is a combination of information giving and discussions, demonstrations and practical activities to achieve the learning outcomes.
