The Map Reading and Navigation Course provides learners with the skills and knowledge to navigate in Category 2 terrain with topographic maps and a handheld compass.

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course will be conducted over a series of training days and/or sessions and is structured as a mix of theory and practical outdoor-based activities.

Due to the length of the course, this will NOT be run over one (1) weekend.  

Training Duration = 20 hours 15 minutes 
Assessment Time = 4 hours 50 minutes
