The USAR CAT 1 Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to provide safe and effective rescue support to an urban search and rescue (USAR) incident as a member of a first responder rescue team.

This course is conducted over a series of training days and/or evenings. The course is structured as a mix of information giving and practical activities.
Course Duration: Approx. 6.5 hours
Assessment time:
– Summative scenario: approximately 80 minutes
– Theory assessment: approximately 30 minutes
