Field Team Leader Course

The Field Team Leader Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to be able to respond and control a Level 1 Incident and manage a NSW SES team using local or initial response resources.
Target Audience:
Members developing in a leadership role in Incident Management or in the field
Learning Outcomes:
- PUAOPE012 Control a Level 1 incident
Content:
- Level 1 Incident Controller role and responsibilities
- Work, health and safety, and media
- Planning the route and establishing control
- AOLR decision making model
- Developing an Incident action plan
Learning Methods and Duration:
This course is conducted over a series of training days and/or evenings. The course is structured as a mix of information giving and practical activities.
Course Duration: 5 hours
Assessment time: 2.5 hours (Scenario only)
Course Entry Requirements:
- Field Operator or Incident Management Foundation Level Courses
- Be a field operator or an Incident Management officer
- Leadership Fundamentals
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Foundations in Emergency Management (External Course)
