This course provided learners with the skills and knowledge to prepare the vehicle for operational response and identify low risk driving techniques for both proceed and response driving and monitor traffic, road and terrain whilst driving.

Mandatory for members who drive NSW SES specialised vehicles and drive under response conditions.

  • Topic 8 – Arriving at an Incident
  • Topic 9 – Towing Trailers

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course is conducted over a series of training days and/or evenings.
The course is structured as a mix of information giving and practical activities. 
Course Duration: Approximately 14 hours
Assessment time: 1 hour and 30 minutes
