This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to coordinate the collection, analysis and dissemination of intelligence to support informed decision making at an incident. 

Introduction:

Target Audience:

Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as Intelligence Officer and members who are currently Intelligence Officers but have not yet attended a formal course.

Learning Outcomes:

  • The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUAOPE004 Manage the intelligence function at an incident

  • Manage intelligence section or unit
  • Identify intelligence needs
  • Collect data and information
  • Process information
  • Analyse information
  • Develop and disseminate intelligence products
  • Review intelligence and provide feedback

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is three days.
