This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to collect, analyse and apply information and to develop plans for the resolution of a complex incident.

Introduction:

Target Audience:

Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as a Planning Officer and members who are currently Planning Officers but have not yet attended a formal course.

Learning Outcomes:

  • The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUAOPE025 Manage planning for a complex incident

Content:

  • Establish planning section
  • Manage planning section
  • Interpret and apply information on current and forecast situation
  • Disseminate information on current and forecast situation
  • Prepare incident plans and brief IMT
  • Participate in IMT
  • Monitor and review planning functions

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is three days.
