This course provides learners with the skill and knowledge required to perform the role of Safety Officer within an IMT.
 

Introduction:

Target Audience:

Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as Safety Officer and members who are currently Safety Officers but have not yet attended a formal course.

Learning Outcomes:

  • The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUAOPE026

Content:

  • Contribute to safety, health and welfare of personnel involved at incident
  • Provide strategic advice on mitigating safety, health and welfare risks
  • Manage safety resources
  • Contribute to planning processes
  • Support management of safety event investigations

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is three days.
