This course provides learners with the skill and knowledge required to perform the role of Safety Officer within an IMT.
Introduction:
Target Audience:
Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as Safety Officer and members who are currently Safety Officers but have not yet attended a formal course.
Learning Outcomes:
- The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUAOPE026
Content:
- Contribute to safety, health and welfare of personnel involved at incident
- Provide strategic advice on mitigating safety, health and welfare risks
- Manage safety resources
- Contribute to planning processes
- Support management of safety event investigations
Learning Methods and Duration:
This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is three days.
