This course provides learners with the skill and knowledge required to perform the role of Media Officer within an IMT.
Introduction:
Target Audience:
Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as Media Officer and members who are currently Media Officers but have not yet attended a formal course.
Learning Outcomes:
- The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUACOM016 Manage media requirements at a major incident

- Assess scene for media requirements
- Develop media strategy
- Provide information to media
- Promote organization via the media
Learning Methods and Duration:
This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is two days.
