This course provides learners with the skill and knowledge required to perform the role of Aircraft Officer within an IMT.
 

Introduction:

Target Audience:

Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as Aircraft Officer and members who are currently Aircraft Officers but have not yet attended a formal course.

Learning Outcomes:

  • The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUAFIR002 Manage aviation resources for an incident

Content:

  • Deliver services within organisational regulatory framework
  • Assist with development of air operations plan as part of incident action plan
  • Activate and manage aircraft
  • Oversee management of support personnel and contractors
  • Establish and manage facilities and consumable to support aerial operations
  • Plan and manage flight schedules and pilot services
  • Manage air base accident response
  • Ensure air base has safety and security systems in place
  • Ensure record keeping systems are in place

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is three days.
