This course provides learners with the skill and knowledge required to perform the role of Air Base Manager within an IMT.
Introduction:
Target Audience:
Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as Air Base Manager and members who are currently Air Base Managers but have not yet attended a formal course.
Learning Outcomes:
- The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUAFIR003 Manage aviation support operations at air base
Content:
- Work safely as air operations team member
- Plan for aerial operations support
- Establish and manage a support unit to assist with service delivery
- Maintain safe and secure air base
- Supervise layout of air base facilities
- Supervise delivery of in-flight pilot services
- Supervise storage and handling of dangerous goods
- Implement air base accident response
- Maintain records
Learning Methods and Duration:
This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is three days.
