Sector Commander Course

This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to manage a multi-team response at an incident which may be time critical and/or potentially threatening to life, property or the environment.

Introduction:

Target Audience:

Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as a Sector Commander and members who are currently Sector Commanders but have not yet attended a formal course.

Learning Outcomes:

  • The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUAOPE016 Manage a multi-team sector

Content:

  • Conduct assessment of incident
  • Take command of sector
  • Implement operations portion of IAP
  • Manage and monitor sector operations
  • Manage post incident operations

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is three days.
