Target Audience:

Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as a Flood Rescue Support Officer including good beacon and communication skills.

  • Use of ICEMS and Functions
  • Management of Flood Rescue incidents
  • Scalability of operations
  • Managing team boards and mapping

  • Tasking and communication
  • High tempo operations

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course will be delivered via face-to-face classroom sessions. Course duration is two days. There is a pre-course eLearning requirement (approximately 1 hour duration) to complete prior to the face-to-face sessions.

  • Work in an Incident Control Centre
  • AIIMS Principles and Functions
  • Operate Communication Equipment
  • Emergency Management Program
  • Tsunami Awareness (Recommended)
