This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform the role of Aviation Support Officer within an IMT.
Introduction:
Target Audience:
Members who hold the skills and attributes to be developed as an Aviation Support Officer and members who are currently Aviation Support Officers but have not yet attended a formal course.
Learning Outcomes:
- The successful completion of this course will impart the unit of competency PUAFIR017 Work safely around aircraft.
Content:
- Work safely in an around aircraft
- Facilitate safe ground support
Learning Methods and Duration:
This course will be delivered via a one-day face-to-face session.

- Work in an Incident Control Centre
- beacon IMT
- Emergency Management Program
- AIIMS Principles and Functions
- Tsunami Awareness
- Willingness and ability to operate in an IMT in the future
