This course provides learners with the skill and knowledge required to perform the role of Information and Warnings Officer within an IMT.

  • Australian Warning System (AWS)
  • Determine the need for a warning
  • HazardPublisher
  • Flood Watch
  • Reviewing warnings
  • Updating and maintaining warnings

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course is a blended approach of eLearning and face to face classroom sessions.  Course duration is two (2) days.  There is a pre-course eLearning requirement (approximately two (2) hours) to complete prior to the face to face sessions.
