The Boat Operator Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to act as a member of a flood boat crew on inland waterways.

Learning Methods and Duration:

This course is conducted over a series of training days.  The course is structured as a mix of theoretical and practical activities.
Course Duration: 18 hours
Assessment time: 12 hours

Course Entry Requirements:

  • Field Operator Foundation level training
  • Swim Test and Fitness Assessment as per the Flood Rescue Fit for Task Instructions
